Andrew James "Andy" Vernon (born 7 January 1986) is a British long-distance runner who runs for Aldershot, Farnham & District AC and is currently coached by husband of Sonia O'Sullivan, Nic Bideau.

Career

Vernon finished third in both the individual and team events at the 2013 European Cross Country Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

On 13 August 2014, whilst participating in the 2014 European Athletics Championships, Vernon achieved a season's best of 28:08.66 in the 10,000 metres, which won him a silver medal, his first senior individual track medal. He followed that up four days later with a second medal, a bronze in the 5000 metres.

Vernon is sponsored by running shoe brand Saucony and head torch and running accessories brand Silva.[1]
