Andrea Torres

Andrea Elizabeth Torres (born May 4, 1990 in Manila, Philippines) also known as Andrea Torres is a Filipina actress, host and commercial model. She is currently an exclusive contract artist of GMA Network.

Her upcoming television series, My Daughter Daniela, a remake of Pobre Diabla will surely make her career bloom much better.

Background

She was first seen as one of the contestants in ABS-CBN's teen-oriented reality show Qpids in 2005. In 2008, she transferred to ABS-CBN's rival network GMA and became one of the hosts of the now-defunct youth-oriented magazine show, Ka-Blog! She was also part of some drama and hit movies such as You To Me Are Everything, a Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera starrer, and Shake, Rattle & Roll X.^[1]

When Ka-Blog! went off the air, Torres concentrated for a while in her studies, taking up Communication Arts at the University of Santo Tomas, and in commercial modelling. On March 8, 2011, Torres signed a three-year exclusive contract with GMA Network.^[2] Two months later, she landed a part in the afternoon drama series Blusang Itim.

It helped that she had joined extracurricular activities while in school. She performed during assemblies, acted in plays, attended leadership conventions, even volunteered to read Bible verses during Masses. She was also in the volleyball team. When she was younger she took up ballet lessons. She tried everything that could help her express herself as an artist.

On July 30, 2012, GMA Network announced that Torres, together with Mikael Daez, will reprise the roles of Cecilia Fulgencio and Carlos Miguel Altamonte, respectively, for the 2012 remake of the 2002 popular teledrama Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga.^[3][4] The said roles were originally portrayed by Tanya Garcia and Dingdong Dantes, respectively.

She pose for December 2014 issue of FHM Philippines as part of the four part FHM special, which she was become a FHM favorite (Bubble Shakers' Max Collins and Arny Ross later pose in FHM on March and May 2015, respectively) after FHM Legend Diana Zubiri, Rachel Anne Daquis and Myrtle Sarrosa. Since Marian Rivera vacates the title she faces another Bubble Shaker Sam Pinto, former Bubble Shaker Ellen Adarna and as well to Jennylyn Mercado and Daquis. According to three time Sexiest Woman, Marian Rivera, she want Torres to be the next Sexiest Woman for 2015 (FHM head writer Alex Paita interviewed both). Since FHM released the partial list on June 8, Torres overtakes Adarna and Mercado to the Sexiest Woman List, however on the final list she fell to second spot to Mercado, in a controversial end of the 2015 Sexiest Woman List, which exclude Rivera, Tricia Santos and China Roces on the list, which rumordly allege with Tricia Santos led the FHM Sexiest Party Boycott, which Roces and Roque appeared.^[5] She also appeared for gravure book will be release in August 2015 along with Maria Ozawa gravure book.^[6][7][8] In 2015, Torres and Daez starred in Fil-Khmer drama Blood in Dispute, which the second joint venture ASEAN drama series since Fil-Malay drama Muli in 2007. In July 2015, she guest for Dingdong Dantes' Pari 'Koy portraying as sexy dancer.
