André Ribeiro
André Ribeiro (born January 18, 1966 in São Paulo, São Paulo), is a former CART Indy Car World Series and CART FedEx Championship Series racing driver.
Biography
Ribeiro drove in Champ Car for 4 seasons, scoring 3 wins (New England 200 1995; IndyCar Rio 400 1996; Marlboro 500 1996) and 2 poles (New England 200 1995; Molson Indy Toronto 1996). He drove primarily for Tasman Motorsports and Penske Racing. He started once in the Indianapolis 500, in 1995, with a finish of 18th.[1] He retired from racing at the end of the 1998 season, and received an offer to work with Roger Penske in South America, with United Auto, running over 15 car dealerships in São Paulo.[2]
