Andhra Pradesh Secretariat

Andhra Pradesh Secretariat is the office of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and his ministers.^[1] It is located to the south of Hussain Sagar Lake.

History

The secretariat was housed in Saifabad Palace, built in 1888 during the reign of the Sixth Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Mahbub Ali Khan. The old buildings were replaced with new buildings later during the reign of N T Rama Rao. Each building was given a Telugu name but is now recognized as a block represented by an English
