American College of Switzerland

The American College of Switzerland (ACS) was a business school and liberal arts college in Leysin, Switzerland in the canton of Vaud.

History

The college was founded by Dr. Fred Ott in 1963.

The campus was housed in the modernized Victorian style Grand Hôtel de Leysin, built in 1892. A private train station on campus connected to all main lines and cities in Switzerland.

Notable alumni include Sylvester Stallone,[1] Winthrop Paul Rockefeller, Nigerian economist and scholar Ebere Onwudiwe, and the Arab American interior designer Raad Ghantous.[2]

ACS was purchased by Schiller International University.

Schiller University closed the Leysin campus in May of 2009 and sold the building to Leysin American School.

Leysin American School renovated the building and now uses it as its main campus.
