Following the 2003 release Mes courants électriques, Alizée released her fist live album, Alizée En Concert. The album was recorded at many concert halls and arenas in including the L'Olympia hall in Paris, on August 15, 2003, during the Japan travel in that year, the singer was promoting her same year last studio album and when she was in that country was announced her comeback to France with her En Concert Tour including all the European French-speaking area including Belgium and Switzerland. It was the first release from her artistical godmother company, Requiem Publishing and was released in both DVD and CD formats, capturing the tour. The DVD release consists of the full eighteen songs set list of the tour, while the CD captures sixteen highlights from the same.

After the unexpected success of Alizée's studio albums in Mexico, the live album was re-issued as a CD+DVD in early 2007, the album entered the charts and after spending months in the top 100, went on to peak at number eight on the main albums chart[1] and number four on the international albums chart.[2] The album became the 29th best-selling album of the year.[3]

The compilation was re-released in early 2007 in Mexico by Universal Music as a CD+DVD release,[4] following the featuring of the songs in local radio stations. With the re-release and renewed interest, the songs climbed up the music charts in the country. The album became a hit, peaking at number four in the International Chart on 28 May 2007,[5] and number eight on the main albums chart.
