Biography
Ali Wehbi is the first Lebanese and only Arab ever to complete the 4 Deserts race. The race takes place in the hottest, coldest, windiest and driest places on earth. Time magazine classified the 4Deserts Series as number 2 in its top 10 list of endurance competitions.
In April 2013, Ali Wehbi ran the North Pole Marathon, Adventure Racing at the Top of the World in -40 C, to spread climate change messages to a large global audience & to celebrate the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross). plant the Red Cross emblem, in the North Pole. The flag was a "gift" from the Lebanese Red Cross to the ICRC, for its 150th birthday, which is now at the red cross museum in Geneva.
9 January 2012, Awarded by the Lebanese President Michel Suleiman the The National Order of the Cedar, Knight Grade.
In 2007, he received a medal "Lebanese Order of Merit", from the President Emile Lahoud
Personal life
ICT Consultating, father of 2, it was not until he lost his mother to a battle with Cancer that he began to question his desires and lifestyle & began his quest to become an athlete in the world’s most difficult races. He has run the Sahara race (Egypt 2007, 2008, 2009, 250km) where he finish 3rd over all, Atacama Crossing, Marathon des sable, Gobi desert, Last Desert Antarctica, North Pole, et too many
