Alexander Lee Eusebio (Hangul: 알렉산더 이 유세비오; born on July 29, 1988 in Hong Kong), simply known by his stage name Alexander or Xander, is a Hong Kong singer, rapper, actor and television host mostly active in South Korea.[1] He is a former member of the South Korean boy band U-KISS. He made his solo debut with released single "I Just" in December 13, 2011.

Career

U-KISS (2008–2011)

Alexander made his debut as a member of South Korean boyband U-KISS in 2008. Alexander's last released song with U-Kiss is "Shut Up!!", released as a part of their fourth Korean mini-album, Break Time

On February 23, 2011, NH Media confirmed and released a statement that Alexander and his bandmate KiBum had left from the group.[2] Their contracts were terminated by their agency. Alexander's last official event with U-KISS was via a fan meet in Mikie Holiday Hotel at Medan, Indonesia on March 5, 2011.

Solo career

Alexander has also took part in the "Father, I Honor You" Praise Concert in Hong Kong on 18 June 2011, singing gospel song "아주먼 옛날" (A Long Long Time Ago) and "Nobody". In October 2011, together with Brian Joo, Pastor Johnny and members of 3rd Wave, Alexander was part of a fanmeeting and also a Music Rally event at the FGA church in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He performed "Looking For The Day", together with Brian Joo and Pastor Johnny, as well as a few other songs together with 3rd Wave.

Alexander made his first comeback through a private fan meeting, "When Alexander Met You..." held in Hong Kong on August 6, 2011.

Before his official debuted as soloists, Alexander held a showcase event at Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo on December 9, 2011. He released single "I Just" on December 13 for digital version and December 19 for physical. "I Just" made its debut at #37 on Mnet Japan's M!Countdown chart. On December 18, 2011 He has also held a showcase in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has also performed songs from his new album, "I Just", "Oh! Baby", "That Man" (Korean drama "Secret Garden" soundtrack) and also performed a song in Mandarin for the first time, "情非得已" (Taiwanese drama "Meteor Garden" soundtrack).

In March 2012, he released "Kimchi song" for Channel A drama "Immortal Masterpiece".

He held a fan meeting in Singapore, "Specially for Xanderettes" on July 13–14, 2012, where he also performed songs "I Just", "Oh! Baby", "Bad Girl" and "The Kimchi Song" from the Immortal Masterpiece OST.[3]

In December 2012 he made a trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, along with Brian Joo, Pastor Johnny of the 3rd Wave Ministry for Iginite Love Charity Concert where he performed as part of 3rd Wave and visited an orphanage. The Charity Concert was organized by Grace Community Services (GCS) and PD Beanz Entertainment.

In 2013, Alexander and Calvin Chen both sang the OST of film "3 Peas in a Pod", "You And I" and "我与你" in Korean and Mandarin respectively.

Acting career

In 2012, He starred his acting career with playing role in a Channel A Korean drama entitled "Immortal Masterpiece", playing a foreigner who wants to learn about Kimchi.

In 2013, Alexander starred in his first movie 3 Peas in a Pod (他她他) alongside Calvin Chen of the Taiwanese group Fahrenheit. The movie was directed by Singapore's Michelle Chong and shooting took place mostly in Australia during March 2013. 3 Peas in a Pod tells the story of three university friends from Taiwan, Korea and Singapore who go on a road trip that changes their lives forever. The movie was released in Singapore's theatres on 14 November 2013.

He is currently participating in KBS 2's Moorim School as Yeob Jung.

Hosting-Variety show appearances

Alexander is also known for hosting Arirang's radio show Pops in Seoul segment 'All About You' and 'Radio School' with bandmates Kevin and Eli. He has collaborated with several outside artists, rapping in Brave Brothers' "Finally" and Hye Ji's "Your Love".

Personal life

Eusebio was born in Hong Kong to Lee Chung-mi, a South Korean, and Anthony Eusebio, a Macanese/Portuguese. He was raised and lived in Macau before moving to California where he studied in De Anza College. He currently resides in Seoul, South Korea with his grandmother. He has an older sister two years his senior, Victoria.

Alexander is a Christian. He has been involved with 3rd Wave Music,[4] a South Korean Christian music label and also considers Jaeson Ma as his mentor.

He is also well known for his ability to speak 8 languages: Cantonese, English, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, Tagalog and Japanese.
