Alex Suber (born December 1, 1985) is a professional Canadian football defensive back for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Middle Tennessee State University.
Career
Winnipeg Blue Bombers
On June 1, 2010, Suber signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League as a free agent.[1] Suber has logged 65 career CFL regular season games and a staggering 254 tackles (almost six per game). Was a key player in the 2011 post-season run to the Grey Cup. Has had no fewer than 60 tackles in any of his four years in the league and six fumble recoveries. Has a remarkable penchant for tackling in the backfield with 15 career tackles for a loss.[2]
Toronto Argonauts
On September 2, 2014, Suber was traded to the Toronto Argonauts in exchange for defensive lineman Thaddeus Gibson.
On June 14, 2015, Suber was released by the Argonauts.
