Aleisha LaNaé Allen (born April 28, 1991 in Bronx, New York)[1] is an American actress.

Career

Since the age of 4, she has been active in television and print as a model. At the age of five, she took on the role of major character "Sidetable Drawer" on the children's television series Blue's Clues (credited as LaNaé Allen). She was also a regular on the Playhouse Disney series Out of the Box.

She has appeared alongside Jack Black in School of Rock (2003). Allen played "Alicia", one of the children in the class and a musician in the band. In 2005, she played "Lindsey" in Are We There Yet? starring Ice Cube and also in its 2007 sequel, Are We Done Yet?. In 2010, Allen guest starred in PBS remade show The Electric Company. In 2012 she played "Sarah Johnson" in Michael A. Pinckney's film "You're Nobody 'til Somebody Kills You". Allen also made an appearance in the 2011 film Young Adult starring Charlize Theron.

Allen attended the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan, alongside classmates Karina Pasian, Mark Indelicato, and Taylor Momsen.
