The AL Watania Poultry Institute of Technology (Arabic: معهد دواجن الوطنية للتقنية) (WIT) is established as a result of strategic partnership of Technical and Vocational Training Corporation(TVTC) and Al-Watania Poultry Co. in Saudi Arabia. This is one of non- profit institutes developed in kingdom to promote the technical education in the field of poultry production and support services.
This is sole initiative of Al-Watania Poultry Co. to establish this institute. Al-Watania Poultry is referred as one of the largest company producing Poultry meat and its products in the world, which is located 25 kilometers north of the city of Buraidah in Al-Qassim Region, It is a bright signs for the Saudi economy, with all the facilities and unique capabilities, cutting-edge technology is the newest of its kind in this area. With the venture of international partners like COBB, CINOP, and Tyson Foods WIT project was initiated.
WIT aims to develop technical knowledge and skills of national workforce in order to equip them with practical skills in the poultry industry and its support services to start their work in poultry sector and contribute to the development of the poultry industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Initially WIT is offering following programs in different disciplines:
- Full Diploma in Poultry Production
- Associate Diploma in Poultry Production
- Short Courses in different Poultry related fields.
