Al-Salamiyah District
Al-Salamiyah (Arabic: سلمية Salamīya) is a district (mantiqah) administratively belonging to Hama Governorate, Syria. At the 2004 Census it had a population of 187,123.[1] Its administrative district is the city of Al-Salamiyah.
Sub-districts
The district of Al-Salamiyah is divided into five sub-districts or Nāḥiyas (population according to 2004 official census):
- Al-Salamiyah Nahiyah (ناحية سَلَمْيَة): population 115,300.[2]
- Barri Sharqi Nahiyah (ناحية بري الشرقي): population 13,767.[3]
- Al-Saan Nahiyah (ناحية السعن): population 14,366.[4]
- Sabburah Nahiyah (ناحية صبورة): population 21,900.[5]
- Uqayribat Nahiyah (ناحية عقيربات): population 21,004.[6]
