Akuemon is the sixth and last anime episode in the Lion Books series. It was an OVA release. This episode was never broadcast on Japanese TV, but it was instead shown at a Hong Kong film festival. It is the first anime directed by Makoto Tezuka, son of the famous Osamu Tezuka.[1]
Story
The story is about a fox outwitting a hunter and the strange lives they live as destiny brings them together. This is the story of the Parents of 'Abe-No-Semei', the most powerful sage in Japanese history.
DVD
It was re-released as a DVD on March 21, 2003 on the same disk as Adachi-ga Hara.
