Centre for Law and Mediation (Bangladesh)
The Centre for Law and Mediation (Bengali: আইন ও সালিশ কেন্দ্র, Ain O Salish Kendro, also called ASK) is a nonpartisan, civil rights and legal aid organization in Bangladesh.[1] It is one of the leading human rights organizations of the country and is highly active in issues of labour and women's rights, as well as exposing human rights abuses by Bangladeshi security forces.[1] It consults with Amnesty International[2] and with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.[1] The centre was established by prominent Bangladeshi lawyers and activists in 1986. Sultana Kamal serves as Executive Director.
