"Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" is a single by Van Halen, from their 1978 eponymous debut album.
When Eddie Van Halen originally wrote the song a year before the album was released, he did not consider it good enough to show his bandmates.[2]
This song is also one of the few David Lee Roth-era songs that onetime replacement Sammy Hagar was willing to sing in concert when he joined the band in the mid-80's.[2]
In popular culture
The song has been featured in the South Park episode "Ginger Cow"[3] and The Sopranos episode "Fortunate Son" and the Freaks and Geeks episode "Beers and Weirs".
The song was formerly used by the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers as their "goal song",[4] played after every Flyers' goal in the late 1990s.
The song has appeared as a playable track in music game Guitar Hero Van Halen.
