Francisco Aday Benítez Caraballo (born 16 December 1987), known as Aday, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Girona FC as a winger.

Football career

Born in Sentmenat, Barcelona, Catalonia, Aday finished his formation at local EC Granollers, making his senior debuts with neighbouring CE Premià in Tercera División. He first arrived in Segunda División B in 2009 when he joined UE Sant Andreu,[1] contributing with 25 games and two goals in his first season as the club failed to promote in the play-offs.

Aday signed with CE L'Hospitalet in June 2011.[2] In his second year he scored a career-best seven goals, with the side also being eliminated in post-season play.

On 5 July 2013 Aday moved to CD Tenerife, freshly promoted to Segunda División.[3] On 1 September he made his debut as a professional, playing the last 22 minutes of a 0–2 away loss against CD Mirandés.[4]

On 16 July 2014 Aday joined fellow league team Girona FC, after rescinding his link with the Canarians.[5] On 4 October he scored his first professional goal, netting the second in a 3–0 home win against SD Ponferradina.[6]
