Adam Tihany

Adam D. Tihany (born Transylvania in 1948) is an American interior designer and interior architect. He was named one of the greatest American interior architects by The New York Times in 2001 .

Career

Tihany has built his career on designing hotel and restaurant interiors.

Hotels that he has been commissioned to design include the Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas hotel in Las Vegas, the Shangri-la Hotel in Singapore and other hotel projects in New York, London and Los Angeles.

Restaurants that he has designed include: Thomas Keller's Bar Bouchon in LA [1] and La Fonda De Sol [2] and Aureole [3] in New York, among others.

In 2007, Adam Tihany joined the Designer Pages Board of Advisers to help bring social media to architecture and design.
