Active is an unincorporated community in Bibb County, Alabama, in the United States.[1]
History
The community was located on the Mobile and Ohio Railroad and was likely named to reflect the active spirit of its residents.[2] A post office called Active was established in 1899, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1906.[3] Active has been noted for its unusual place name.[4]
