Rally of Truth

The Rally of Truth (Slovene: Miting resnice, Croatian: Miting istine) was preceded by series of similar rallies that were part of Milošević's policy in Vojvodina and Kosovo, as well as in the Montenegro, where Milošević's supporters overthrew local governments and replaced them with loyalists to Milošević, and was intended to do the same in Ljubljana, Slovenia in December 1989.

In an action named "Action North" in 1989, Slovene police forces, members of which later organized their own veteran organization, with the help of Croatian police forces prevented it and the action can be considered the first Slovenian defense action against the Milošević's supporters attacks, leading to Slovenian independence.[1][2][3]
