Acromas Holdings is the parent company for the merged Automobile Association and Saga Group. The company was formed in May 2007, ahead of the merger the following September.[1][2]
The company also owns Drakefield Insurance, which the AA acquired in May 2007 and the British School of Motoring which was acquired for £1 after BSM went into receivership at the end of January 2011.
It owns Allied Healthcare, formerly Allied Medicare Limited, a provider of private nursing and primary care services with 140 branches across the United Kingdom which was acquired in 2011. Its Homecare Independent Living Group division has a strong presence in Ireland.
Acromas is expected to IPO Saga in 2014.[3]
The AA was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2014.[4]
