Acosmium Schott is a South America genus of Leguminosae (Fabaceae). Three species are currently recognized.[2][3][4] Most Acosmium species have been recently transferred to Leptolobium[5] and one species to the South American Guianodendron[6] while the genus Acosmium itself has been transferred from the tribe Sophoreae to the tribe Dalbergieae [7] in a monophyletic clade informally known as the Pterocarpus clade.[1]
