Acle railway station is a railway station serving the town of Acle in the English county of Norfolk. The station was built in 1883 and is located on the Norwich-Great Yarmouth Wherry Line.

History

Opened by the Great Eastern Railway it became part of the London and North Eastern Railway during the Grouping of 1923. The line then passed on to the Eastern Region of British Railways on nationalisation in 1948.

When Sectorisation was introduced, the station was served by Regional Railways until the Privatisation of British Railways.

The station is served by Abellio Greater Anglia, who operate services between Norwich and Great Yarmouth. Services are operated by diesel multiple units of Classes 153, 156 or 170.

The station has the only passing loop on the Acle branch of the Wherry Line, and in times past was a coaling depot.
