Ace of Angels is the debut Japanese album by the South Korean girl group AOA, and was released by Universal Music Japan on October 14, 2015.

Background and release

After releasing three singles in the Japanese market, including "Miniskirt", "Like A Cat", and "Heart Attack", AOA released their first Japanese studio album Ace Of Angels on October 14, 2015 with a new title track "Oh Boy".[1]

Editions

The album was originally released in three different editions: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and the Regular Edition, but later was revealed that will be released in 10 versions with individual versions of each member.[2]

Singles

"Miniskirt" is the first title track and the debut song in Japanese. The single was the first ever Japanese single released by AOA on October 1, 2014 in Japan. The music video teaser for the PV was released on September 8, 2014.[3] The full music video was on September 10, 2014. The single also included the Japanese version of "Short Hair".[4]

AOA also released their second Japanese single "Like A Cat" on February 25, 2015. The full music video of "Like A Cat" was released on February 8, 2015.[5] A short dance version was released on February 9, 2015.[6]

The last single before the album "Heart Attack" was released on July 29, 2015. The music video teaser was released on July 19, 2015.[7] The full music video was released on July 20, 2015.

The single "Oh Boy" was released alongside the full album and was meant to promote the album.[8]
