Academy of Learning College is a private career college with over 60 college locations across Canada.[1]
History
In 1987, the first Academy of Learning College location opened in Thornhill, Ontario, and expanded west to British Columbia in 1990.[2] Today, campuses can be found across Canada in Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories and British Columbia.[1][2] Unlike many other private career colleges, Academy of Learning College is national.[3]
Academics
Academy of Learning offers more than 35 registered diploma and certificate programs that are delivered through its campuses as well as various e-learning systems such as video and audio lectures, simulated labs and virtual classrooms.[2] The programs are offered in various areas such as Business, Law, Information Technology and Healthcare[3] and provide vocational training to Canadians regardless of physical location.[4] In 2013 the college announced its new Community Service Worker diploma program.[4]
