Abdullah Muhammad Rashid al-Rashoud

Abdullah Muhammad Rashid al-Rashoud (Arabic: عبد الله محمد راشد الرشود ) was a member of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and its so-called sharia committee, and, briefly, a member of al-Qaeda in Iraq. He was one of Saudi Arabia's most wanted fugitives when he was killed in Iraq in June 2005. His status in al-Qaeda is attested to by the fact that his death was announced (in an Internet statement on 23 June 2005) by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi personally. In the jihadist Internet subculture, al-Rashoud himself was widely known for his own videos. He got high billing at the Tawhed Sunni terrorist webset (which was named for Zarqawi's group under its original name Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad) operated by the organization of Zarqawi's former mentor Maqdisi.

Zarqawi said that al-Rashoud died in American aerial bombing in Qa'im, Iraq (near Syria) around 21 June 2005.
