The Abasyn University (جامه ابيسن; best known as Abasyn) is a private research university located in the residential neighborhood of Peshawar, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.[1] The university also has a teaching campus in Islamabad;[2] however, its main campus is in Peshawar.[1]

Founded with the efforts led by the provincial government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in 2007, the university is a private-sector institution of higher learning.[3] The university offers undergraduate and post-graduate studies; it's noted for its engaging research in the development of augmented reality and artificial intelligence.[4]

History

Abasyn University Peshawar was established in 2007 and got approval of its charter in 2009 from the Provisional Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) via bill No. PA/NWFP/Bills/2009/38457, N-W.F.P. Act No. XIII of 2009. Abasyn University established a distinctive new campus in the city of Peshawar which is spread over a lush green area of multiple acres. The Higher Education )ra for its Engineering Program. HEC’s National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) has accredited BS in computer science. Abasyn University offers degree programs in various disciplines including engineering, computer science, business administration, pharmacy, microbiology, education and technology.
