Aaron (Lamanite)

Not to be confused with Aaron (Jaredite) or Aaron (Nephite).
This article is about the Lamanite figure in the Book of Mormon. For other uses, please see Aaron (disambiguation).

According to the Book of Mormon, Aaron was a Lamanite king who lived during the 4th century in the Americas. He is mentioned in Mormon's record as a man who led 44,000 Lamanites to battle against Mormon's Nephite army of 42,000.[1] Mormon's army prevailed in the battle, although ultimately the Nephite armies were conclusively defeated, which marked the end of their civilization. Mormon described the armies of Aaron as exercising "awful brutality".[2]
