A Death In The Gunj is directed by Konkona Sen Sharma[1][2][3] in her debut.[4][5] The film features an ensemble cast including Vikrant Massey, Tillotama Shome, Om Puri, Tanuja, Gulshan Devaiah, Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey.[6] It was produced by Abhishek Chaubey and Honey Trehan under the banner MacGuffin Pictures[7][8] The fim was launched by Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj.[9]
Plot
A Death in the Gunj is a "coming of age" story that centres around the lead character named Shutu and his conflicted ideas of masculinity. He finds himself navigating the blurred lines of what is accepted in society and questions his own space within the world.
