AFC Croydon Athletic is an English association football club based in Thornton Heath, London Borough of Croydon, England. The club is affiliated to the London Football Association.[1]

History

The club was formed by fans of Croydon Athletic F.C. after that team folded in the 2011–12 season.

The club was formed in 2012, and applied to play in the Combined Counties League for the 2012–13 season. They were accepted into the Division One in the league; Step 6 of the National League System.[2] At the end of their first season the club won their first honours by beating Staines Lammas 5–0 in the Division One Cup Final.[3] The 2014–15 season saw the club win promotion to the Southern Counties East Football League, after finishing runners up in the Combined Counties League behind Farleigh Rovers.[4]
