    4176 Sudek (1987 DS) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on February 24, 1987 by Antonín Mrkos at Klet. It is named after the Czech photographer Josef Sudek (1896-1976).[1]

    On 21 January 2014 asteroid Sudek, at magnitude 15.5, occulted the star 2UCAC 39655315, at magnitude 11.8.[2] This event was visible over parts of Japan and China.[2]
