    33529 Henden (1999 HA1) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on 19 April 1999 by C. W. Juels at Fountain Hills.

    The minor planet was named on 18 September 2005, and honors photometrist Dr. Arne Henden, currently the Director of the American Association of Variable Star Observers.

    The Minor Planet Center citation reads:

    (33529) Henden = 1999 HA1

    Discovered 1999 Apr. 19 by C. W. Juels at Fountain Hills.
    Arne A. Henden (b. 1950) coauthored Astronomical Photometry in 1982. He is

    currently director of the American Association of Variable Star Observers, and he served on the staff of the U.S. Naval Observatory in Flagsta®, Arizona, from 1993 to 2005.[1]

    The object has been observed 612 times between 29 November 1997 and 28 November 2011.[2]
