3204 Lindgren or Asteroid Lindgren (Swedish: Asteroiden Lindgren) is a main-belt asteroid discovered by Nikolai Stepanovich Chernykh on September 1, 1978. In 1996 it was named after the Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren by the Russian Academy of Science. When announced, she is said to have declared "From now on you can address me Asteroid Lindgren".[1]
