The 2016 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament will be played between March and April 2016, with the Final Four played April 3 & 5. The regional locations will be four neutral sites: Bridgeport, Connecticut, Dallas, Lexington, Kentucky, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.[1] The Final Four will be played at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.[2] This was the third time that Indianapolis will host a Women's Final Four Basketball tournament; the prior times were in 2005 and 2011.
This will be the last Women's Final Four to be played on the current Sunday/Tuesday schedule. Starting in 2017, the Final Four will change to a Friday/Sunday schedule.[3]
2016 NCAA Tournament schedule and venues
The first two rounds, also referred to as the subregionals will be played at the sites of the top 16 seeds, as was done in 2015.

- Dallas Regional, American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas Host: Big 12
- Lexington Regional, Rupp Arena, Lexington, Kentucky Host: Kentucky
- Sioux Falls Regional, Denny Sanford Premier Center, Sioux Falls, South Dakota Host: Summit League
National Semifinals and Championship (Final Four and Championship)
- 3 and 5 April
- Bankers Life Fieldhouse , Indianapolis, Indiana, Host:Horizon League and Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI)[4]
