The 2016 European Women's Handball Championship will be held in Sweden from 4–18 December 2016. It will be the second time Sweden hosts the tournament. The final will be played in Scandinavium in Gothenburg.
Sweden was awarded the championship on the EHF Congress in Monaco on 23 June 2012.[1]
Venues
Sweden will play their preliminary matches in Stockholm. If Norway qualifies the team will play in Helsingborg, while Denmark will play in Malmö if the team qualifies.
