The 2015–16 Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball team represents Georgetown University in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hoyas, led by twelfth-year head coach John Thompson III, play their home games at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., and are members of the Big East Conference.

Previous season

The Hoyas finished the season with an overall record of 22–11, with a record of 12–6 in the Big East regular season for a second-place finish. In the 2015 Big East Tournament, the Hoyas were defeated by Xavier, 65–63 in the semifinals. They were invited to the 2015 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament as a #4 seed, where they defeated Eastern Washington in the second round before losing to Utah in the third round.
