The 2015–16 season is Macclesfield Town's 142nd season of existence and their fourth consecutive season in the Conference.[1] Along with competing in the National League, the club will also participate in the FA Cup and FA Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.

Pre-season friendlies

On 8 May 2015, Macclesfield Town announced that Rochdale will visit on 18 July 2015 in a pre-season friendly.[23] On 18 May 2015, a friendly match against League One side Bury was confirmed.[24] A day later, Macclesfield Town added Kidsgrove Athletic and Nantwich Town to their pre-season schedule.[25] Another friendly was added to the pre-season schedule on 20 May 2015, against Stockport County.[26] On 27 May 2015, the club announced Stoke U21's will visit on 1 August 2015.[27] On 2 June 2015, a friendly against Sheffield United was announced.[28] On 30 July 2015 game against Stoke was called of.[29]
