General
- November - The Latin Grammy Awards of 2013 are held in Las Vegas.
- Marc Anthony and Draco Rosa win Record and Album of the year. Echa Pa'lla (Manos Pa'rriba) by Pitbull wins "Best Urban song".
- Guatemala's Gaby Moreno is best new artist.
- Dominican Republic's Michel Camilo wins Best Jazz Album with "What's Up?".
- Puerto Rico's Draco Rosa wins Album of the Year for his duet album Vida.
- Venezuelan alternative independent band La Vida Bohème win best rock album.
- December
- The RIAA announces the creation of the Latin Digital Singles award for Latin singles while also lowering the threshold for Latin albums.
Mexico
- Rock band Maná still ride high with their 2012 "Best of" Platinum album Exiliados en la Bahía: Lo Mejor de Maná but also release En Toda Libertad.
- Alejandro Fernandez and Christina Aguilera's cover of "Hoy Tengo Ganas de Ti" reaches number-one on the Monitor Latino charts.
Brazil
Maurício Manieri's version of "I Just Wanna Stop" is featured in the Rede Record TV series Pecado Mortal.
Cuba
- Exiled Cuban jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval gets the Presidential Medal of Freedom and a Latin Grammy.
Dominican Republic
- Dominican Juan Luis Guerra has sold over 20 million records and adds to it with his Live album Asondeguerra Tour ( started to promote 2010 studio album A Son de Guerra), which is a Latin Billboard #1, he promotes both albums in his A Son de Guerra World Tour .[1]
Puerto Rico
- Daddy Yankee's reggaeton single Limbo tops the Hot Latin Songs charts for 15 weeks, Marc Anthony's Vivir Mi Vida, a cover of Algerian raï singer Khaled's "C'est la vie" is #1 even for 16 weeks and wins Latin Grammy Award for Record of the Year.
Colombia
- In January 2013 Juanes wins the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album with 2012 live album MTV Unplugged.
- Carlos Vives reaches double Diamond status with Corazón Profundo, it wins Best Tropical Fusion Album at the Latin Grammies. All four singles from the album reach number-one in Colombia. "Volví a Nacer" later is awarded the Latin Grammy Song of the Year.[2] *Andrés Cepeda also wins an award, Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album with Lo Mejor Que Hay En Mi Vida.
Spain
- Julio Iglesias is acknowledged by the Guinness World Records as the bestselling Latin artist of all-time.[3]
