On April 7, 2013, a Helicópteros del Pacífico (Helipac) Mil Mi-8PS with 13 aboard crashed near Perenco Oil in Peru. There were four crew and nine passengers aboard—all Peruvian— when the flight crashed in the Napo River. Perenco Peru made an official announcement.[1]
The helicopter Mil Mi-8 (P 1916 OB) was operated by the company HELIPAC, Helicópteros del Pacífico (Helipac) [2]
The helicopter crashed with 13 passengers on board during a regular flight from Iquitos to Block 67. The occupants, all Peruvians, were nine passengers and four crew. Among the passengers were Perenco workers and crew members, and other companies belonging to contractors. No survivors were found.[3]
