2004–05 Charlotte Bobcats season
The 2004–05 Charlotte Bobcats season was Charlotte's 15th season in the National Basketball Association (NBA), which marked the return of NBA basketball to Charlotte after a two-year hiatus.[1] The original Hornets had moved to New Orleans after the 2001–02 season to become the New Orleans Hornets.[2]
Originally reckoned as the inaugural season of the Bobcats, the Bobcats' reclaiming the Hornets' heritage (due to the original Hornets' becoming Pelicans)[3] has since retroactively deemed this season to be the 15th season of the now-Hornets/Bobcats franchise, the Charlotte franchise having returned as Bobcats after suspending operations from 2002 to 2004.
