The 2002 Internazionali BNL d'Italia was a tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the 59th edition of the Rome Masters and was part of the Tennis Masters Series of the 2002 ATP Tour and of Tier I of the 2002 WTA Tour. Both the men's and women's events took place at the Foro Italico in Rome in Italy. The men's tournament was played from May 6 through May 12, 2002 while the women's tournament was played from May 13 through May 19, 2002.
