1st Cavalry Division (Soviet Union)

The 1st Zaporozhye Червонного Cossack Cavalry Division (1st CD) - was a military formation in the cavalry in the Red Army, Soviet Armed Forces.

History

On May 6, 1922 8th Zaporozhye Cossack Cavalry Division, the 1st Cavalry Corps Red Cossacks them. All-Ukrainian Central Executive Committee was named 1st Zaporozhye Cossack Cavalry Division. In May, MA Demichev was appointed the divisional commander.

43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48th cavalry regiments were named: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 th Cossack Cavalry Regiment respectively.

In 1924 the 1st Corps headquarters was stationed in Vinnitsa. The divisional Commander was MA Demichev. The regiments were distributed to the 1st Cavalry Brigade (1st and 2nd Regiments), 2nd Cavalry Brigade ( 3rd kn, 4th kn), 3rd Cavalry Brigade (5th kn, 6th kn).

July 11, 1925 1st Zaporozhye pure Cossack Cavalry Division was given the title 1st Zaporozhye them. French Communist Red Cossacks Cavalry Division.

November 15, 1932 the commander of the 1st cd appointed IE Nikulin.

In November 1936 the commander of the 1st cd appointed Brigadier General MG Hatskilevich.

In 1938, the 1st cd renamed the 32nd Cavalry Division.
