1994–95 Atlanta Hawks season
The 1994–95 NBA season was the Hawks' 46th season in the NBA and 27th season in Atlanta.[1] After Danny Manning left for free agency, the Hawks traded Kevin Willis to the Miami Heat for Steve Smith and Grant Long at the beginning of the season. Along the way, Lenny Wilkens made history by becoming the NBA's all-time winningest coach surpassing Red Auerbach on January 6th with 939 wins. The Hawks finished fifth in the Central Division with a 42-40 record. In the first round of the playoffs, the Hawks would be eliminated by the Indiana Pacers for the second consecutive season as they were swept in three straight games.
