1993 JGTC season

1993 JGTC season
Previous: 1992 Next: 1994

The 1993 JGTC season was the inaugural season of the All-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship, now known as Super GT, and the successor series to the All Japan Sports Prototype Car Endurance Championship, as international prototypes were in a state of flux in the early 1990s, and sportscar racing globally had switched from prototypes to grand tourers. It was the 11th season overall of a major Japanese domestic sportscar series.[1] The championship was contested over four rounds[2] and was won by Masahiko Kageyama in a Nissan Skyline GT-R.[3]
