The 1987 World Netball Championships was the seventh staging of the World Netball Championships, the premier tournament in international netball, held every four years. The 1987 tournament was held in Glasgow, Scotland and was contested by 17 teams.
New Zealand were the winners, claiming their third title. New Zealand were the only team that won every game at the 1987 World Championships in Glasgow. Some players on the team were Wai Taumaunu, Tracey Fear, Julie Townsend, Sandra Edge, Rita Fatialofa and the two Margs. The coach was Lois Muir.
