The 1984 season of the Tongatapu Inter Club Championship, previously known as the Lion Shield, was the sixth recorded season of top flight association football competition in Tonga, with the results of any competitions that took place between 1972 and 1981 unknown.[1] Ngele'ia won the championship, their fourth recorded championship and third in a row.[1]
