Game Three in Minnesota took place on April 13 and was a Saints runaway by an 8-3 score.

Game Four in Minnesota on April 15 saw the Whalers tie the series with a 5-2 game win.

The series returned to Hartford on April 18 but the Saints all but ended it with a 4-0 shutout.
