1970 Gulf Cup of Nations
The first Gulf Cup of Nations or Arabian Gulf Cup (Arabic: كأس الخليج العربي), was held in Bahrain, in March and April 1970.
The tournament was won by Kuwait, who beat the hosts Bahrain in the last match to clinch first place.
Tournament
The four teams in the tournament played a single round-robin style competition. The team achieving first place in the overall standings was the tournament winner.
