The Uruguayan Championship 1906 was the sixth official championship of the Uruguayan football history.
Overview
The tournament consisted of a two-wheel championship of all against all. It involved six teams, and the champion was Montevideo Wanderers. Tis is the first time that another club not CURCC or Nacional won the Uruguayan Championship.
As a curiosity during this championship, the Club Nacional de Football presented two teams to the competition, their official team and a second team conformed by substitutes players, which was called "Nacional B". This was the first and only time in the editions of the Uruguayan Championships that a club participated with two teams.
