126th SS-Standarte
The 126th SS-Standarte was a small unit of the Allgemeine-SS that was formed in late 1944 towards the end of World War II. Based in the city of Marburg, the Standarte was formed from surrounding SS commands of the General-SS that had lost most or all of their members to war-time needs and conscription.
The unit was never listed as having a commander and mainly existed only on paper. For a short time, the unit was known as the "126.SS-Standarte Marburg-Drau". The 126th SS-Standarte was formally disbanded upon the defeat of Nazi Germany in 1945.
