The asteroid 1181 Lilith is a main belt asteroid discovered February 11, 1927, by Benjamin Jekhowsky.[1][2] It was given the provisional designation 1927 CQ.[1]
It is part of the main asteroid belt outside the orbit of Mars.[2] It is named in the honour of French classical music composer Lili Boulanger.[3]
1181 Lilith is not related to the astrological 'dark moon' Lilith.
